minion

a worthy sacrifice

"minion" is a action puzzle game where you control your minions via a telepathic connection. Navigate the labyrinth and escape with your life, even if it's at the cost of others. Your minions will obey your every order, even if it means death, and they're more than willing to lay down their lives for their overlord!

controls

• Used WSAD to move your character
• Use the mouse to guide your minions
• Killing yourself or dying resets the room
• The goal is to reach the end of the room (arrow/circle marker is the goal)

tips

• Turret projectiles are the only dangerous thing that can hit players and minions
• The minions can push things and can take a single hit
• The main player can only take a single hit before dying
• Minions and the player can trigger the switches that open the gates
• Minions and players can push boulders
• Turret projectiles can push other objects

This game was made for Bitter Jam. Bitter Jam is a 60 hour long game jam running from May 1st, 2020 to May 4th where all games submitted must only use the tilesheet provided to jammers at the start of the jam.  No other graphics can be used and the current graphics were not able to be modified. The provided sprite sheet of 8x8 characters formed the characters seen in the game.
